How to Make... Antique Vellum Paper
Here is a cheap way to re-create the look of aged vellum paper - recycles old tea bags and keeps kids entertained! You will need: - 2 sheets of paper
- Used tea bags
- Iron
Instructions - Crumple the paper then smooth out again
- Make the paper damp
- Soak the used teabags in more warm water
- Place the tea bags onto your paper - rub if you want an all over effect, squash for darker bits etc.
- Put a second piece of paper on top and leave for a couple of hours
- Dry the paper and then iron it flat
If you want to create watermarks try placing objects or shapes into onto the wet paper, or try 'teabag' around a shape like a stencil. Let the paper dry before removing. TIP: try adding food colouring to get different effects
