Tall Ship Parchment Card

Tall Ship on the Cornish sea

Tall Ship on the Cornish sea

I started with the usual flowery type of Pergamano designs and adapted some cards to send to male members of my family.

I did this by using templates I designed of things such as men's watches, signet rings and male orientated things.

I found that I was able to do less delicate colours and before long adapted my self taught knowledge of art by creating pictures.

After much practice I found I could draw tall ships and then put them into a seascape setting to be framed.

I was first inspired to do parchment craft by Carla Lutter who gave lessons back in the 1990's when I was a member of a day centre, having had a nervous breakdown. Pergamano/parchment craft has been my hobby ever since.

Thanks

Thankyou so much for the lovely comments,it encourages me even more to strive forward with this hobby.
Since those early days I developed mobility problems so to sit and work on my designs is good therapy and keeps my mind off the pain I am suffering.
We all have a gift within us and if we can bring it out to create anything that is appreciated we should stick to it.
Bless you all.

What a beautiful design. I have only just started to learn pergamano and am finding it a bit of a chalenge. Your design has inspired me to keep trying and practicing. Thank you
