Free Blue Mountain Cards

Blue Mountain (from American Greetings) aren't just about ecards, they've saved me with last minute printable cards a few times (before I opened The Printable Craft Shop!)



You can make 'craft cards', printable personalised cards or send plain or animated e-cards. I liked the printable greeting card idea (glitter them up, layer them etc for a handmade look) so I thought, OK it's a 30 day free trial, I'll sign up, see what it's all about and then cancel before my 30 days is up.

But I forgot to cancel. It's a small annual amount to pay, but I was still a bit annoyed at myself, so to get a bit of use out of it I installed the helpful Calendar feature and added a few 'reminders'.

Along came the first 'surprise' birthday card that needed to be created - HELP...but I toddled off to Blue Mountain to see what I could 'rustle up' in 30 minutes. I chose a pretty Disney 'create and print' card; personalised it and printed it (and the neat software that you use even helped me print the right way up and right way round so I didn't waste my card!) You even got to make a matching envelope but I didn't have time, so it just went in the one that came with the inkjet greeting card paper I had.

This particular card was saved, and re-printed for other emergency birthdays ;)

I also used Blue Mountain to say 'I'm Sorry' and 'Thank You' - I often write cards or letters and they never get posted (how bad is that!) so my apologies, birthday wishes or news never get sent. But, this way I can act on impulse or on my feelings and send a quality e card right there and then.
