Parchment craft is, for me, the most beautiful technique of making handmade greeting card - they really are special because they can take a great deal of time and skill to create.

Parchment craft looks very complicated and has a reputation for being very expensive - but it doesn't have to be.

The technique is practiced by many people at many varying levels of ability, but even the simplest white work, embossing or perforation of a pattern can add a touch of class to a card.

Materials-wise, yes you can purchase a whole host of special craft tools, inks and grids etc but it isn't necessary...after all, this is a traditional craft going back many generations and these special tools and colouring supplies weren't available then!
