Parchment craft is, for me, the most beautiful technique of making handmade greeting cards - they really are special because they can take a great deal of time and skill to create.

Parchment craft looks very complicated and has a reputation for being very expensive - but it doesn't have to be, there are ways to save money on your craft supplies.

The technique is practiced by many people at many varying levels of ability, but even the simplest white work, embossing or perforation of a pattern can add a touch of class to a card.

Materials-wise, yes you can purchase a whole host of special craft tools, inks and grids etc but it isn't necessary...after all, this is a traditional craft going back many generations and these special tools and colouring supplies weren't available then!
