If you make any cards with my freebies please send them to me and I will show them off on the site!!!

These images would translate nicely into parchment patterns - just pick out the bits you want and ignore the rest.
  • Trace the bits you want with a black felt pen, then place vellum over the top and trace with white ink as normal. It's up to you to emboss/perforate or colour, as you think fit.

  • Or you can always print and colour as you would a rubber stamped image

  • Digitally re-colour and print off

  • Print straight onto vellum or trace for glass painted cards

These lovely old fashioned pictures are small enough to be used as toppers, or printed straight onto card. You could:

  • Isolate small images and make clip art/picture tubes
A mix of prints and patterns to get creative with!

Free Software to use with Card Making ...

Picasa (from Google) now comes as part of an essential "Google Pack" - a selection of excellent software downloads that you can pick and choose from. As well as Picasa, I recommend these as well:

  • Google Earth - not just for the massive WOW factor but there is a special 'layer' that you can apply to get antique maps of the world/where you live - makes lovely customised background paper! Make a card or scrapbook page with a antique, or up to date, map of where you live, travelled to etc
  • Skype - free calls to others with Skype or cheap phone calls and SMS text messaging to those who don't. I use this for sending SMS text messages and am planning on a trying a 'card making' public chat or 'Skypecast' soon.
  • Norton Anti-Virus - there's a free trial on there too (I think it's 6 months?)
  • Google Desktop - this is a great little gadget that sits at the side of your screen. You can use it for all sorts of useful things but the best use I find is for getting RSS updates as and when they are published, jotting down quick notes, my online Calendar and a to do list.

... or, only choose to download Picasa - the choice is yours.

Don't have any Christmas coloured digital papers? No problem ...

YOU can change your exsiting digital papers into festive coloured ones - even if you only have ONE boring brown digital sheet you can change it into red, green, cream...whatever you like! This video shows how quick and easy it is with Picasa from Google! ...and if you don't have ANY digital papers, check out the papers in the Freebie Library below.

Click the button below to download free software - its a brilliant piece of image editing/organising software that lets you instantly 're-colour' any of the digital background papers you have.

Picasa will also find and organise all the pictures on your computer so you can see them all in one place, and 'tag' them so you can find them quickly - no more lost pictures, or having to choose whether a 'blue stripe background paper' picture belongs under 'papers' or 'patterns' or 'blue' etc - tag the file with all three words!
