bee birthday

habee birthday!!!

habee birthday!!!

I made it using glass paints on acetate paper.

First I traced the bee, outlined it with the glass outliner and then painted..after drying i stuck it on a white sheet to enhance the colours..and stuck sequins at the border to cover the gum marks..i then placed it on blue card paper..and it was done.

I didn't really take the idea from anywhere cause i havent really seen another bee card..i only got the glass painting idea from some books i read at the library..i gifted it to a friend for his birthday and he was thrilled..so i guess the hard work paid off.

Bee Fruga - Use Your Library
by: Adele (Admin)

Kristal, this card is lovely!

Glass painting is one of my favourite card making techniques - the colours are so vibrant and the painting is very relaxing!

I particularly like the fact that you got the idea from a book at the library - we don't need to spend lots of money crafting, ideas can come from many places, and community libraries need our support.

Thank you for adding to the Idea Gallery! Feel free to add more as you make them...

Kind regards
Adele

Glass Painting is great on cards!
by: Gaida

Hi Kristal!
The bee card is great. Glass paints are so versatile to use (just have to watch out for the bubbles)Best thing is you don't need to know how to draw...just trace over a favourite picture...
Rubber stamp (not too decorative) designs are also great for glass painting designs.

I also used glass paint on cards & glass. My favourite design was frogs or butterflies.
