Birthstone Card with Gift

Birthstone and jewellery making inspired this card...

I made this card for my step mum's birthday. I like to make cards and jewellery so I decided to combine the two to make a card and gift in one.

The colour is blue/green and based on aquamarine because it is the birthstone for March.

I used a blank pearl effect card and added some blue/green decorations.

A flower punch added extra detail on the top and created a hole for the bag charm.

I used silver lettering peel off stickers for the greeting.

The bag charm was made using a selection of green/blue beads and a silver key ring. I used silver metal thread to keep the beads together.

It was good fun to make and I was pleased with the end result.

I thought of the idea myself but I browsed the internet for birthstone colours and inspiration. I also got some inspiration from crafts beautiful magazine. It has provided me with some excellent project ideas for the future.
